Chesterton Third Fridays initiative in partnership with twenty-three retail businesses, restaurants, and non-profit organizations located throughout downtown Chesterton.

 

Chesterton Third Fridays will run from May through October over six special evenings, and local businesses will be offering downtown visitors an array of activities, including:

​

  • Evening shopping and sidewalk sales

  • Gallery receptions

  • Live music outdoors and in various venues

  • Dining and drink specials from participating establishments

  • Live art events and demonstrations

  • Historical walking tours and other special programs

​

Participating venues and retailers will offer extended shopping hours for each Third Friday event, from 4PM and lasting into the evening.

MAY

The first Third Friday of the 2024 season kicks off on Friday, May 17th with exciting activities.
​
The Chesterton Art Center will host a reception for two new exhibitions: Birds of the Hudson, Block Prints by Stephen Rengstorf and Prairies Big and Small, Photographs by Susan Kirt.
 
Other offerings include:
  • free community canvas project at Willow
  • making a sparkling bird suncatcher at Red Cup Café with Pieces of Jayde
  • live music by local artist Neil Allesee from 7-9 pm at 219 Taproom
  • a build-a-necklace jewelry bar at Chelle’s
  • a specially designed reusable tote (free with Third Friday purchases) at Nottingham Embroidery
  • make your own bath salts at Waxi Taxi
and much more!
