Don't Try This At Home!

Chesterton Superhero Spotlight: At almost 40 years young, local health advocate, Carensa Faith Mathias Bradford, is set on breaking the Guinness World Record for the most chest-to-ground burpees performed by a woman in one hour! The current record is set at 730 burpees per hour, and Carensa intends on breaking that number on Saturday, June 5th, at Dogwood Park.

Fighting with a purpose, Carensa plans on using this opportunity not only as a personal achievement, but also to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association and the Youth Opportunity Center. There will be opportunities for people of all backgrounds to help Carensa raise money for these organizations through sponsorships and donations at the event.

All donations, although not expected, will aid Carensa in her goals to help prevent child abuse and neglect throughout the community and move closer to a world without Alzheimer's disease. As somebody who has seen the disease first hand and has close ties to the Youth Opportunity Center, Carensa aims to create a long-lasting, positive impact on the community through inspiring people to donate to these charitable organizations in order to spark a ripple of hope and fuel an endless movement towards becoming more mentally and physically healthy.

Come support Carensa and see her shine light on Chesterton as she breaks the Guinness World Record for the most burpees in an hour on June 5th, 2021. Help her make a difference in the world one burpee at a time.
